Windows Pc Defender enters into a computer system via a Trojan application, which sneaks into the system via security exploits, such as spam emails or it can be installed by another malware.

Windows Pc Defender generates fictitious system warning alert messages, generates fake scan reports and fake error messages about the “infection” on the computer system. All of this is aimed at ensuring the user of the computer system is coerced and tricked into purchasing the “full” version of Windows Pc Defender software.

Windows Pc Defender should not be trusted or purchased as it is rogue anti-spyware software and should be deleted immediately upon detection!

Once inside the designated system, Windows Pc Defender will obscurely create hundreds of fake malware entities in the infiltrated system. Once this is done, Windows Pc Defender will then “detect” these dummy files and ensure the unsuspecting user, you, think it’s high time you removed all the reported malware.

Windows Pc Defender may cause the following basic symptoms, which a computer user should look out for:

• Slow computer performance:
It just takes one parasite like Windows Pc Defender to slow down a computer dramatically. If a PC takes longer than usual to reboot, or if your Internet connection is unusually slow, you may be infected with Windows Pc Defender.

• New desktop shortcuts or switched homepage:
Badware like Windows Pc Defender may change your Internet settings to redirect your homepage to another website. Badware can even add desktop shortcuts to your PC. It is also not uncommon for this type of malware to change legitimate websites, such as www.google.com, and use them to further create the illusion that your system is I danger – by adding aggressive advertising to the homepage you will be directed to.

• Annoying pop-up messages:
Windows Pc Defender can bombard your computer with pop-up ads, even when you’re not online. Through these pop-up messages, you may be tricked into downloading more spyware.

Windows Pc Defender is considered a rogue anti-spyware application for a number of reasons, a few being that Windows Pc Defender tends to display the following tactics:

• False positives/fake alerts:
As a rogue anti-spyware, Windows Pc Defender may produce a large number of false positives or use fake alerts, noting that your computer is infected with spyware parasites or other threats that do not really exist.

• Copycat looks:
Windows Pc Defender may copy the look and feel of other legitimate or rogue anti-spyware applications. Often, rogue anti-spyware applications may appear as close clones of other rogue anti-spyware software. (In this case, Windows Pc Defender is a replica of WinPC Antivirus.

• High pressure marketing:
Windows Pc Defenders may use scare tactics or other aggressive advertising and marketing tactics to try to trick you into buying the rogue anti-spyware application. Often, rogue anti-spyware may produce false positives and fake alerts about your computer being infected.

• Poor detection/scan reporting:
Windows Pc Defender may produce poor reports when it scans your PC. For example, rogue anti-spyware may say your computer is infected 11 parasites, but not specify which spyware parasites or what type of parasites. Rogue anti-spyware may also report that your PC is infected with SafeAndClean, but not tell you which related files; DLLS, etc. were found on your computer.

• Weak scanning/detection:
Windows Pc Defender may not only poorly report on computer infection, but rogue antispyware may also poorly scan your PC. Windows Pc Defender may skip over important folders and files of your computer that should be scanned to detect spyware.

Although Manual Removal is probably best, to ensure all components of Windows Pc Defender is eradicated from the infected system, it is best left to those individuals who know their way around the registry files of a computer system.

To avoid unnecessary damage and risk to a computer system, as a computer novice, your best option would be to perform an Automatic removal process. Simply make use of an up-to-date, fully functional legitimate antispyware application. This way you will be able to rid the computer system of all traces of Windows Pc Defender.
