XPGuard2009

XPGuard2009 is a new imposter spyware remover. The designers of this malware aim to entice computer and internet users into purchasing the full renegade version of XPGuard2009. By displaying baited warning notifications and spyware detection reports, XPGuard2009 goats a user into purchasing the full version of the ‘so-called’ spyware. XPGuard2009 is usually downloaded and installed via a Trojan zlob installer (which can be found on various adult sites or sites with fake video codecs). Once embedded within a system, XPGuard2009 will scan the infected system and use fake results to coerce the user into purchasing the full version of the application. Although XPGuard2009 may appear to be quite harmless on the outset, it is however quite a high security risk to any computer system, as it tends to occasionally install additional malware. XPGuard2009 is also known to be a duplicate of XP-Guard, yet another rogue anti-spyware application. It is recommended that one should NOT download XPGuard2009 remover, but that it should be deleted instead.
