I deleted the PC Optimizer Pro Folder in the program files folder and none of the other files show up when i type it in the search box. If you can't boot, use an alternative way to get to the registry if needed. start windows and hold F8. go to repair your computer and push enter. after a bit open cmd and type regedit.exe.

can someone also add that the virus "optimizer pro" (in the mutated) is the same thing they just removed the word pc. optimizer pro adds random things all over your windows as well as the webcam exploit. So I uninstalled it through programs and features, cleared the Temp file and took it off the registry.
But I'm still getting a 'choose which program to open optimizer pro' on startup.

After launching taskmanager, if you close the pc optimizer pro program, make a new process called explorer.exe this should make your computer work again.

This stupid virus jacked up my last computer (an old windows vista that my parents "gave" me which was like, 8-9+ years old) and shopping helper smartbar as well as shopping helper smartbar engine DESTROYED MY LAPTOP. I had another DESKTOP before that in which DeviantArt took over. I am furious with malware and spyware and "crapware." It makes me so mad that I'm about ready to hack (because I can hack) all of these crap softwares.

@47. hack them off if you want. Remember that pc optimizer pro is very elusive so its hard to find. Hard to find makes it hard to remove to hopefully mean they will get $$$. They have a tool to remove it on their own site. I recommend you firebomb it with revo uninstaller.

@Blazye, How many drugs did you take? They clearly say they are from India. Also *****s.com is not a website :P. Yes they have something to "remove" it, but all that does is it replicates the same damage as the ILOVEYOU virus or so I heard :P. How can you not tell that they are scams. Legit programs allow you to test the program by removing the stuff, meanwhile, pop just wants you to pay before it will do anything.
