Another day brings another computer threat from a huge group of rogue system optimization applications. Windows Simple Protector is a new parasite from Microsoft Security Essentials scam. This malicious software application pretends to be a good security tool so it could steal your money, consequently damaging your computer. Attempt to modify register key entries is detected. Register entries analysis is recommended.

Also, Windows Simple Protector can block your desktop, in attempt to remain in your computer for a longer period of time. You will not be able to access your icons and your taskbar will be blocked as well. To recover your desktop, please follow these instructions:

1. Restart your computer, and wait for it to load. When you see the rogue's application on your screen, click "OK" to make it go away.
2. Windows Simple Protector will start a fake system scan. Wait for it to be done, and when another notification pops up, click the "OK" button again.
3. To close the notification, click on the red "X" at the right top of it.
4. The notification will disappear and you will have your desktop back.

With your desktop back, you must now take care of Windows Simple Protector. Don't provide it with your credit card number, because that will allow the criminals behind this rogue access your bank account anytime. Your best choice in this situation would be investing in a reliable security tool and then removing Windows Simple Protector for good.
