Although the developers behind MyDisk rogue defragmenter will want you to believe otherwise, MyDisk is not a genuine system optimization tool. This rogue was designed with the sole purpose of acting as a vehicle for its developers to con users into parting with their money, in return receiving nothing worthwhile for their hard earned money. MyDisk makes use of established forms of distribution and infection, and will enter its intended victim’s system without his knowledge through sneaky Trojan infections. Notice the grammatical and spelling errors contained in the above mentioned fake alerts. This already indicates that MyDisk is not a legitimate security application, but that amateur cyber criminals are behind this application.

Users infected with MyDisk complained about being unable to run any programs on their PC, and of blocked Internet connections. Another seemingly common symptom of the MyDisk which was shared by many of its victims was their inability to access their Desktop items, so well as other crucial parts of their PCs such as Task Manager and Control Panel.
